View Full Version : Colored Cocker Rohape 05-08-2008, 05:02 AM I have played around with digital painting. But since I found this section, man this is fun!!
I haven't done a whole lot, just a few. I don't know about painting, so I don't know what type this would be called, but I really enjoyed it.
What do you all think? Am I doing this right?
It would be cool to see some idea's ya'll come up with too if you wish. I'll link the original for those who wish to play.
I left his eyes, and the right side of the picture non painted. I tried to kind of fade the painting to normal.

That looks good, and yes this is a lot of fun and quite addictive take a look around and you will learn loads of different ways to "paint" and you will enjoy them all
Palms Swampy 05-08-2008, 07:20 AM Rohape! Welcome to RetouchPRO. You're off to a great start! Wonderful image to work on. Thank you!
I don't have much patience when it comes to smudging so I take the easy way and do it in Liquify. Added sharpening, some High Pass, Bas Relief and other stuff.
Here's my version. Rohape 05-08-2008, 10:17 AM Oh wow Swampy! It looks like the kind of painting where the paint is real thick and you use like a little mortar tool to shape the paint. (told you I didn't know much about painting) How cool!
I know as much as the puffy clouds...that Bob guy who used to paint on TV. :D
Thank you for the welcome! :D
I look forward to all the fun!
I'm also working on some restoration work, which is how I found this site. I have the pleasure of restoring some old photos, one as old as 1912!! Swampy 05-08-2008, 10:23 AM Thank you, Rohape.
I just can't get into restoration or retouching. I find it very tedious and at my age I can foregoe the tedium... LOL Rohape 05-08-2008, 10:34 AM Since I got CS3 EVERYTHING is fun! :D Swampy 05-08-2008, 12:28 PM Amen to that, Rohape. There are so many neat things you can do in CS3. The only thing I miss is BUZZ. I run Photoshop in Rosetta mode (Mac) just to have it handy. 0lBaldy 05-08-2008, 12:39 PM Nice Cocker!
Black and White from me Rohape 05-08-2008, 01:17 PM Holy cow 0lBaldy!! That is awesome!
Swampy: Not too sure what your talking about. I made a huge leap from 5.0 and PSPP X2, to CS3. :D Peter S 05-08-2008, 05:44 PM Makes a nice change from cats thanks Rohape. :D
Peter Kraellin 05-08-2008, 06:57 PM we had a number of cockers when we were younger. great family pets. Rohape 05-08-2008, 09:41 PM Wow, these are all great! It's so cool to see all the different ideas everyone uses. Makes me miss my buddy even more now. :) I'll see him in a few months.
They are great, we have 2. This guy is our super ball, going all the time. I'll have to mess around with some pics of our other one. She's all black, with a nice white patch on her chest.
