The white of the eyes is a little too white and the hair is a little too sharpened. I would also like the shadow under her nose softened.
I would prefer a version that included both women, as long as you crop out the open field and unblock the dark tones on the second woman. I find the interaction between the two subjects interesting.

I think you did great!

Personally I would have cropped even tighter and brightened up a few things as shown below... BUT that is just me.. I think yours is fine!

Thanks for all your input. Sorry for the spelling errors. I am a cancer servivor and have had som congitive problems from the chemo. Guess I should use spell check but didnt think about it. After taking all your input in I took out some reds and softend the shadow under the nose and the whites of the eye,The total work time it took me is around 8 hours with about seven differant layers. Sometimes I over do it cause to me a photo is never finished. I always have to pick out something and try to fix it..LOL. Here is a link to the redone picture also tried to resize the thumbnail again. Thanks again for your imput

No its a picture from my wifes belly dance class, cairo fusion that performed at a big hippy fest at eagle Island state park in Boise Idaho. Goddesfest is latter in the year. Which I believe they are performing in.

I liked the sharp hair. Everyone has their personal preferences! I did agree that the left eye was too white.

It's amazing what you can learn just by reading other peoples' critiques. I am not trained to look for subtle shadows, but once someone pointed out the shadow under her nose, it jumped out at me. You did a good job on toning it down.

I liked the sharp hair as well. Every one has there owne taste. But the wife one out and said it was to sharp as well. I didnt see the shadow either till it was pointed out. With each persons point of view I get a better insite of what to look for. Thanks again

I think your retouch is a nice improvement to the picture. Good job.

The only thing I kinda notice that bugs me just a bit, is her eyes look a little flat / one solid color with no shadows. Maybe that's how the original picture was? Just something to think about. :)
