I think this could be a handy thread, as I know many of us are interested, be it digital or tradional. Myself, I prefer digital.

Some people have asked me various "how to" questions, so when I saw this bit, I thought of posting it at RetouchPro.

This is from the Kodak photofinnishers website. I think it's good advice, and something I pretty much always do:

1. Work with prints that are at least 15 percent lighter than normal. (Me - tone down contrast, and lighten)

2. Natural-looking skin tones are easier to reproduce if prints are toned with KODAK Sepia Toner (CAT 169 1757) or KODAK Brown Toner (CAT 146 4452). (Me - digital sepia)

3. Color lighter tones first (e.g., fair skin) as a guide for darker tones. (Me - I always do skin tones first)
