Have any of you used hotkeys that fail to work at times? This sometimes happens to me, and it seems to happen most often when using the tab key. This could be because I use that one more than any others. While it's not as annoying as having the computer freezing when you didn't save your work, it's still aggravating.

No, not with the tab key but sometimes I do a short cut like "control - alt - I" and get invert image instead of iverse selection for instance. And I have noticed that often control - C cuts instead of copys. Is that what you mean or just one key function?

I've had periodic trouble when trying to change brush sizes with "[" and "]". If the brushes pallette isn't showing, and I bring it up, it seems to work OK (Photoshop 5). But most of the time it works either way. There have probably been other shortcuts that didn't work at times, but I can't think of any specific ones right now. Trashing the preferences file doesn't help either. I think I'll get rid of 5.0, and just keep 7.0 (both of which I have had periodic trouble with the tab key).

That may help. I remember others saying they had trouble when they had more than one or two versions of Photoshop loaded.
