If you're trying to attach an avatar, is it in GIF format? You've successfully attached other photos in the "painting" thread, so I assume you're having trouble with your avatar? I think the avatars have to be in GIF format.

Hmmmm. I think Doug is going to have to help with this. I don't know the other limitations, since it seems that you've got the correct size. Wish I could help, but I obviously don't know enough. :(

OK - just for kicks, try making it 50x50 pixels. Seems like most others are that size or smaller. -Jeanie

yeah I think that is likely the problem. I tried uploading my new avatar and it didn't work, then I realized it wasn't 50x50 pixels like it said. I resized it then it worked just fine. as long as its 50x50 or less and under 2k then you shouldnt have any problems. also, file type shouldn't be an issue - mines a jpeg and it works.

Yep, I think the file limit to 50x50 is very STRICT -- I didn't mind much since it made my face very tiny...

David, I'd noticed your new avatar -- your own face, perhaps??, and was looking for the proper thread to mention it -- Hello!!:)

Hi CJ, yup, its me in there! it's from my learners license because it was the most recent pic I could find around (I just cropped it, did a mask, put in a background and resized it). its not exactly a great photo, so I'll have to look around for something better to use as an avatar soon.
