View Full Version : Quick-time movie tutorials Gene suggested a thread showing web sites where quick-time movies are available. I only have one site (http://www.russellbrown.com/body.html) that I know of for sure. That is Russell Brown's site, and there are several good ones available. Adobe.com is also a good possibility, although I'm not sure about that one. If you have any sites to add, please do.
Ed Brandee 05-20-2002, 03:37 PM I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this site has been posted thousands of times in the the past:
http://www.apple.com/creative/resources/ttphotoshop/
Some wonderful stuff to be found there, all of which are in Quicktime (not a huge surprise considering the source). jerry 05-20-2002, 05:25 PM Thanks Brandee
Welcome to Retouchpro. Since I use a pc rather than a mac, I would not have looked at this site.. Just went there and sampled a few movies..Really good stuff..I must go back and look at all of them..
Jerry :D Glad to have you aboard Brandee. I could have let Jerry write my post. I would never have found it either. Thanks.
Ed DJ Dubovsky 05-20-2002, 06:31 PM Thanks for the link Brandee and welcome to Retouch Pro. There are alot of Mac users here who will really value this link.

there are a few quicktimes available, under a few different catagories, some not particularly great for Retouchers, but good resources if using Photoshop:) DJ Dubovsky 05-20-2002, 07:50 PM Here's (http://www.lynda.com/products/videos/ps6cd/sample_content.html) one on Photoshop 6 movies
DJ I never had Photoshop 6, but I now have 7. I assume the Photoshop 6 movies would probably be quite similar to 7??
Ed DJ Dubovsky 05-20-2002, 07:55 PM Here's (http://www.ftpconferences.com/thunderlizard/videotips.asp) one on Photoshop 7 features.
DJ DJ Dubovsky 05-20-2002, 08:00 PM I would think that they would still be usable with Photoshop 7 since 7 has all the features 6 had just more.
DJ Peter Booth 05-20-2002, 09:05 PM Thaks Doug for those links , I find the little movies a real help in mastering Photshop ,just another few hundred years should do it. Brandee 05-20-2002, 09:07 PM Originally posted by DJ Dubovsky

DJ
Thanks for the welcome everyone... keep in mind that the tutorials at Apple.com are the same for PC users as they are for Mac users. (: I use a PCs myself, but came across the link one day when I was scrouring the web for information on a certain technique! DJ Dubovsky 05-20-2002, 09:15 PM Don't know what I was thinking of. Of course you are right. Guess my brain stopped working there. Gettin old. :D
I guess the only difference betweem Mac and PC is command = control on a PC and option = alt.
DJ ghoffman 05-21-2002, 01:36 AM Ed,
Thanks for starting the thread! I'm impressed with how many replies there have already been.
I can see that I'm going to be very busy checking them out. :D
Gene You get the credit Gene. It was your idea. Don't forget, it's encouraged that everyone start a new thread whenever they want. So everyone just jump in. The water's fine.
Ed ravenmd 06-01-2002, 12:33 AM thanks so much for this VERY helpful thread! These little movies are a nice change from all the reading. Besides.. they appeal to my lazy side :D
I've saved and/or bookmarked lots of them. I too will be very busy checking them all out. |
