We all struggle with making masks - at least I do...

When masking out an object that is dark and set against a fairly dark background it is often difficult to see the separation between the object and the background.

I've discovered that inverting the image often makes the separation much easier to see. After you're done making the mask, just invert again.

Hope you find this helpbul

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for the tip! I have to make masks all the time, and I'm not that great at them so I'll have to try that next time I need to mask anything.

Great tip Margaret! I've filed that away, as I've had to work on plenty such images.
