Unfortunately, that's a common complaint from Mac users with MS IE. Several threads here with the whole story.

Short version:

Mac IE thinks menubar is out all the time.

Switch to Netscape
or
Maximize your window (helps if you can increase your screen res to 1024x768). Anything to distance the menubar from the rest.
