View Full Version : This one's for Greg C. Greg,
One of your recent posts made me think you'd like to see this. It's one I got in e-mail today.
This is totally awesome!!! Check it out, but be sure to concentrate on the area near the laptop.
You will never forget this one, I almost fell out when I saw it.
Look very closely. Scary...
Please read the story in full before going to the link below...it
explains it better. This is amazing!
Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing
voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady
once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war. Legend
says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation
of her loved one returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits. They
caught this photo of what they claim to be her.
This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the
picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands
out. Like one of those optical illusions. Have patients it will give you goose bumps
when you see it appear!!!.....
To save you some time, concentrate around the table . Best not to focus too
much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window. Click on the
link below for the picture. For an added touch turn up the
volume, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking sometimes in a low
murmur.
Here's (http://home.attbi.com/~n9ivo/whatswrong.swf ) the link.
Ed fugitive 08-14-2002, 07:34 PM Thanks a lot! No, it wasn't your post. It was Greg Couch's. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Ed Jakaleena 08-14-2002, 07:41 PM Oh no ya don't... I know what you're up to... I fell for this once someplace else...
Ed, I'm starting to think you have a mean streak in you! No way! You must be thinking about someone else. :D What's the matter? Couldn't you find the ghost?
Ed G. Couch 08-14-2002, 08:23 PM :devious: ahh!! I have seen one of those before...but it never fails to make me jump half out of my seat!
Thanks Ed!...your lucky I do not have heart problems :D I hope you can sleep tonight. :) How's your ghost been treating you?
Ed dcarr 08-14-2002, 08:33 PM I really enjoyed that too. Sent it off to others. DJ Dubovsky 08-14-2002, 08:39 PM Yup, knew what was coming, had it before, even timed about when it should occur and still jumped. :D
DJ winwintoo 08-14-2002, 09:54 PM Ed, Ed, Ed - what are we going to do with you?
Margaret jeaniesa 08-14-2002, 11:50 PM OMG - I'm laughing so hard I'm almost crying! :lmao: I knew it was coming, but I just didn't know when!

Strange things still happen on occasion...my brother has had 3 glasses break while washing dishes over the course of 3 days. Each time he was just gently washing it and they shattered, almost like the glass was defective, but I have had the glasses for years and washed them with no problem! It happened again today and this time he cut his arm so bad we had to take him to the ER for stitches. It's almost like someone does not want us here and keeps breaking things...not that I'm superstitious...but it does seem like something breaks or malfunctions almost everyday- Lamps (fell for no reason!), my camera! , glasses, Wacom pens :( ....I even thought my hard drive was about to die the other day, as it was making very odd, loud noises. I ordered a new one, installed it as a slave in order to copy data from the original...and wouldn't you know it, the old drive stopped making any noises and has been whisper quiet for 3 days!
I'll stop venting about my haunted house...anyone know how to make peace with a ghost? :D DJ Dubovsky 08-15-2002, 11:52 AM Oh this is great!!! I love haunted house stories. :D We should start a forum Thread called Greg's Ghost. :D
I do feel for you Greg, honest I do but there's just something fun about a good ol ghost story. Especially around a warm campfire. Guess, I'll have to settle for some candles and a dark computer room on the next story.
Sorry, to hear about the nasty cut though. Hope he's alright. I suggest you use one of those long handle sponges to do your dishes for awhile. :)
DJ T Paul 09-25-2002, 10:28 AM I am so glad I put down my FULL cup of HOT coffee down to try and stop a radio program I had running for background music. Cute trick. I sent it to my family for an early Halloween treat. Perhaps this needs a safety warning:
You must be sitting down to read this for your own safety.
Don't be holding anything you can drop or spill for your own and your computer's safety.
~T T Paul 09-25-2002, 10:35 AM Looks like Greg's thread is haunted....
Try it....

~T paulette conlan 09-25-2002, 03:48 PM Going to save this link to send out on Halloween....get even with a few special people! I was expecting some etheral ghost to go floating by. It really startled me-it was very well done. I wonder if it was done with Flash. Did anyone look at the source code? I'd go back again but I'm too scared! I want to sleep tonight.
Paulette DJ Dubovsky 09-25-2002, 05:58 PM Paulette,
You have a choice. This one or this one (http://people.freenet.de/freeek/SajjadAli.swf) Actually I think the latter is even more of a surprise. I just sent the link to alot of friends on my address book. I now have alot less friends on my address book. :D
DJ T Paul 09-26-2002, 09:41 AM Yikes, DJ your's is scarier!
~T DJ Dubovsky 09-26-2002, 11:30 AM T,
As much as I'd like to, I cannot take the credit for finding that one. Our sweet Sanda pulled that one on us unsuspecting members of Retouch Pro on this thread. (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3924) And we thought she was so sweet and innocent. :D I almost had a heart attack with that one. There's a saying "Misery loves company" so of course I just had to send it out to all my family members and friends. :D | |
