Hi there people,

hope one can help me with my question.

I am looking for a tutorial (or just some help) for making a plastic skin look in some photographs. I want to create a kind of retro style.

This technique has been used in several print campaigns for different brands, Diesel for example: http://www.diesel.com/diesel_guides/print_guides/g136.html

I am aiming on the effect used for the guy on the motorcycle on the left and the girl ;-)

Although I am not sure if this effect is created after the shootings, or was done with make-up and lightning during the fotoshoot.

I hope that someone can help me, I would appreciate it very much :-)

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work in this forum!

KeSj

Hi Kesj
Go to this forum thread: RetouchPRO Forums > Tools > Software > Photoshop: Favorite Filters, Uncommon Uses for Common Filters, Etc.
Scroll down to the 12 post, I think psstewart has your answer.

Hi Kesj,
Welcome to Retouch Pro. Hey I think you might find this challenge page interesting. The effect Phyllis got has a definate plastic look to it. Check out the page here. (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3703) I'm not sure if this is what you meant but when I saw her entry I remembered your thread asking about plastic skin. Maybe her technique would be helpful to you.
