I actually really enjoyed this movie. It was a little dark, but a great picture of a small town and how things work in many small towns. It is actually really funny, which I wasn't expecting at all. The subject matter is disturbing (if you have ever been impacted by an affair, you might find it really disturbing) and I didn't care morally for the way she handled herself in the storyline, especially at the end, but it was interesting nonetheless. The one-liners were great though, and boy did they capture that small-town supermarket vibe - especially if you live in the south, you should see it.

Is Jennifer Anniston in this?...I remember reading something about how good her performance was. I grew up in the south...maybe I should check this one out! :)

Yea, sorry, I should have said who was in it. Jennifer Anniston is in it - and the dopey guy from "Oh Brother, where art thou?" - I can't think of his name. You can definitely appreciate this if you have ever been to or lived in a small town. Texas is the setting for this one, and it sure does fit. (Not that all of Texas is like that, but the small towns... yes.)

I don't live in the south, but I've lived in a small town. It a different world all together.

You mean small town verus big town? For sure.

I prefer "medium sized". Some city, but with the friendliness of a close community.

The small town for me was a population of 100 people on a sunny day. :) In our area, that versus a town of less than 20,000 people is a major difference. Both have their good and bad points for us. We now live in an unincorporated area, on 1/2 acre.

I like having land, but sometimes miss people, and the hustle and bustle. There is a vibe to the city that keeps everything moving, and keeps up competition in a healthy way. I do have to say, though, that I love the wildlife and flowers and land and need lots of that, especially in the spring when the gardening bug sets in.

Also, it is safer for children outside the city, especially with all the kidnappings. When you live away from major thoroughfares, there area fewer ways for a kidnapper to escape with a child quickly, or with your belongings.
