Doug, how about a new membership category, something like veteran for folks who aren't moderators but have passed a 1000 (or maybe 500) posts?

I considered claiming it already had something like that, since there are no users except mods that have over 1000 posts, but that would be mean :)

I'll mull it over (I mainly don't like the word "veteran")

My bad, I still think of Ed as a moderator.

Been scratching around in the thesaurus on veteran. One possibility is master, but that would be sexist. Following down that line I came across illuminati which sounds quite nice. (lit: those who are enlightened.)

suggestion:
Retouchpro illuminatus

Or you could just go with Charter Member. But I think that would pertain to those who joined in the first year. I'm not sure how old the site was when I came on board. Ed and Tom were here before me. And I believe our join dates are listed as when we made the big move here not when we actually joined in the old site. Interesting thoughts though.

I think of Ed as a moderator too. :) He's got that "Butler who greets you at the door, takes your coat and settles you in with a refreshing drink" way about him. :D
