Sometimes frames, edges and/or borders can enhance your digital artwork.

I just added a couple links to THIS THREAD (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3244), where you'll find links to tutorials for do-it-yourselfers and a couple sites where actions can be downloaded.

These links are listed at the BOTTOM of the above thread.

Have any favorite Edge, Border or Frame tutorials or actions sites? Add them to this thread.

Here are a couple of Photo Edges Tutorials:

Here is a quick tutorial on how to creat photo edges using quick mask. Photo Edges Tut (http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/edges/edges.htm)

Here is one other tutorial on creating Cool Edges from the Wacom web site. Cool Edges Tut (http://www.wacom.com/tips/tip.cfm?ID=49&STEP=1&category=Photoshop)

Here are a few more tutorials for creating decorative edges. I really like their halftone dot one.

CLICK HERE (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=40424#post40424) to jump to a post where a very cool set of "Edge Actions" can be DOWNLOADED. These were posted by Alan Smallbone, aka: Snoleoprd.

CLICK HERE (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=40386) to see an example edge applied to a photo Alan snapped.

Note: These actions will run in Photoshop 5.x, 6 and 7.

Caution:
Before running any of these, duplicate your image and flatten the duplicate. Run the action against the duplicated image. Each action "assumes" only a Background to start with and modifies the Background during execution.

Thanks for sharing, Alan.
