These are what I copied from....... for my new brushes in Photoshop 7.

Very simple to make..... don't forget to keep them in Grayscale mode.

Goldcoin,
Thank you for posting these new brush patterns. Can you do a tutorial on how to integrate these patterns to PS7?
:)

Sure, will try to do it today..... Nothing too fancy, as I'm still learning and need some further instructions as to how to make a palette with just "my favorite brushes".
Haven't figured out how to move them from the place Photoshop puts them, when created.

This tutorial has screenshots with text.... only hope I'm able to up load this huge file. This will show you how to make a brush in either 6 or 7 of Photoshop.....

Sorry.....it said it was too large. Will email Doug for a solution.

This is the first part of two.... Combined some of the screenshots.

Making a brush in Photoshop....

1. Click on marquee to Select the brush image. Taking whatever amount one wishes to use.

2. Edit ----copy

3. Make a layer, with white background. For this brush, the layer/canvas is 178 pixels x 89 pixels.
With this layer active Edit > Paste > then > Deselect. Flatten layers if necessary.

4. Choose >Image > Mode > Grayscale

5. Some tutorials recommended using channels to make the image darker and more defined.

See next post for finish

6. Choose Edit > Define BRUSH

7. Drop down screen appears, type in the name your new brush. That's it, except for giving it a try out.

The lower half are examples of self made brushes. One is the brush we made in this tutorial.

Enjoy.
