I see an incredible number of actions and associated tutorials and examples here.
I know that plugins for Photoshop also work in Paint Shop Pro but do actions also?
If not, do actions for Photoshop work in photoshop limited edition?
Canon threw that program in with my G3 camera but I havent used it since I've heard it is so "limited"
But if Photoshop actions work in ps LE and not in Paint Shop Pro, it might be worthwhile to load a bunch of actions into ps LE and just use the program to apply ps actions.

Photoshop actions will not work in Paint Shop Pro. Actions are essentially a recording of the steps (actions) you take while working on an image. When you stop recording, then you can play the same steps back on another image. You can also set some of the steps to require user input - but they still come up automatically. Because actions record exact Photoshop commands, they cannot be used in another application.
Except for PERHAPS Photoshop LE. I honestly don't know if actions recorded in Photoshop can be used in LE. We have some LE users here though - and at least one expert on LE, so perhaps they can answer this question for you.

Sorry, but Photoshop LE does not support action recording or playing.

Feivel, PSP8 has Scripts (only PSP8).
Scripts, basically work the same way as Actions. You click a button and the script runs, changing your image to a painterly look, or adding a drop shadow etc....

Joy:
PSP8 scripting is a well kept secret. Are they "portable," that is can the Paint Shop Pro scripts you create be shared with other folks?
If so, feel free to .zip some of yours up and attach to a post (via the Manage Attachments button) for sharing.

Danny, 'Scripts' are really fun and can be a big time saver when you record effects/methods, that you use on a regular basis.
I am going to post links to sites where ready-made Scripts can be found and downloaded. Most come with a 'Readme', with installing instruction.
Add all scripts to the Scripts-Restricted folder in My Documents/My PSP8 Files, unless otherwise instructed. Never, add a script to Scripts-Trusted folder that you are not sure of, or, have not recorded, yourself.
Here are a few to get started......have fun! Joy
