I think as you get more comfortable with drawing the details will progress. I really like the hair. Nice job making the indiviudal strands stand out. ~T jaz 01-31-2003, 04:58 AM Thanks T, I know I have a long way to go but I'm excited. You've helped me a lot! retpmikl 01-31-2003, 03:04 PM Nice work, Jack. I follow your progress with interest and, as I said before, I admire your perseverance. Sanda 01-31-2003, 03:24 PM well done Jack, as T said the hair looks very good. Keep at it you're doing great. jaz 01-31-2003, 09:23 PM Thanks! You guys are so nice and encouraging. I can't wait to get better and justify your praise! :-) gonzo 02-02-2003, 05:17 PM If you're interested, here's a book for beginners that might help you a lot in drawing what you see: (The New) Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - Betty Edwards. This one is for anyone really, as it's filled with all kinds of exercises: The Natural Way to Draw - Kimon Nicolaides. They're both classics in their own right. The important thing in either book is that you work on finding a different side of yourself, where you record what you see and feel, rather than what you 'think' you see. |
