CJ, I see they spelled your name wrong :D
Given the unusual vantage point, one guess is that the bird is a Great Horned Owl, although it is hoped that a properly under-schooled ornithologist can e-mail Dr. Schwarz with the bird's true species.

This may have already have been posted somewhere here but I found this photo of the rover... not sure which one...
anyhow good resolution with the rover drilling into a rock it looks like.
looks like there was a problem aligning some frames in the lower left.

looks like my photo might have been from thta earlier mission also... sorry... the site was in spanish..... no comprendo ! :(
