So who cares what flower it is, Mr. Steve, Sir. Maybe you will be kind enough to reveal how you achieved this fantastic effect. I'm sure there are many like me who would like to know.

Beautiful results as always Steve! As to what kind of flower, I thought at first glance it was a hibiscus (http://www.monrovia.com/PlantInf.nsf/269905a1fb059eb48825683c0080938a/0d9c84676f509d358825684d0071617c!OpenDocument&Highlight=0,hibiscus,red) too, but the stamen is wrong. Angue is right, it is a camellia (http://www.monrovia.com/PlantInf.nsf/269905a1fb059eb48825683c0080938a/dd2b56721628d8548825684d0070b9c8!OpenDocument&Highlight=0,camellia,red)

It is definitely a camelia.

Here's an example:

Steve - that is beautiful. As an admirer of your work for a long time now I know to expect fine work and guaranteed to enjoy the view.
It's hard to tell whether you digitally painted this or not? Well done.
