Yes it's time for another round of Art Tag. This round will start 8 August. After dealing with roaches I thought we would work on something graceful and pretty.

If you want to play and I know you do...send me a PM!

Hope to hear from you soon!

T Paul, I like that you have the status posted on this one. It's great for all of us players chomping at the bit! :lmao: :lmao: (Get it -- "chomping at the bit" - white horse) I'm crackin' myself up! :lmao: :lmao:

Great idea though. Can you do it for all the future art tags?

Sure! I thought it might be helpful especially when you are waiting for your turn and wondering what's going on.

Another great round with beautiful results!

The starting image was from the Agricultural Research Service Image Gallery (http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/graphics/photos/)

And how it changed from person to person...

The image is small in order to meet the file size limitation.

And the final results!!!!

I jumped in on the end of this and added the glow around the pixies, the sparkle on their flowers, a little fur on the pipe player, and a few bubbles for fun.

Wow! Looks good. I had thought about adding the fairies when I had it, but couldn't find any I liked. This turned out well.

T Paul, glad you joined in too! :D

I want to know how the unicorn's horn was made. Very cool looking!

hi everybody,

is this neat or what!
A lot of creative juices were involved here:D
As for the unicorn : sadly I'm not that talented to make it all myself. If I'd had more time I could've tried to make one. My son had been using this image (which he undoubtedly got on the internet) for a school project. I was bothered about the copyright but since it was only a tiny part of it I used it. Afterwards I did a google search and found it belonged to :

Hi all,

This was a great one!

I got the woodland drawings from an old book of fairies published in 1914, a favorite of my wife from her childhood. Anybody, what do you think of the water? ... I wanted to break up the all green feel and I love the ambiance but it does pull the eye some, although the flow mimics the tail ...

T Paul, when I sent this to you I thought it was done, but you really put the polish on it - Good Job!

Everyone did wonderful! Very cool wings and unicorn horn.

Roger I really like the addition of the woodland creatures as it really strengthens the fantasy theme. As for the water...the perspective seems a bit off and it looks like the stream is flowing vertically vs. flowing through the meadow. Perhaps if you experimented with the perspective transformation in PhotoShop you might be able to tweak it to make it look more realisitc. Don't know what else to suggest as perspective always gives me trouble.

Hi all,
amazing how this has turned out. Great work from all of you.I added the other imaginary horses. It was 1 am and i was so sleepy to think of anything creative.
Paul, how much time do each of us get to work on the image?

Nice job, everyone! Once again all the elements hang together and reinforce one another.

Roger,

Your creek would have diminished to a tiny thread by the time it had gotten above the unicorn's haunches, perspectively speaking. Nice job with the little sprite/fairy additions.

svsg,

I think part of the game is to get your addition to the composition done as fast as possible. That will always vary depending on how long it is until the Tag notice, once sent, is received by the artist and the circumstances of their lives at that moment. On this one I was outside doing chores and it I didn't receive notice for nearly two hours. I had added the flowers in the foreground (deciding on my addition, finding the flower picture, doing the selection, modifying the greens to fit the original hues present in the field, and motion blurring them to keep the moving unicorn the focal point) and uploaded in about an hour and a half from the time I downloaded the image.

T_Paul,

Your additions are always understated and important! I particularly like the little bubbles... I had toyed with the idea of adding bubbles to the scene before settling on the flower foreground.

Cheers!
