Here's one for you, a rather bland picture of a single white rose.
One may be bland, but you should see the whole 12 ft high bush!!!!!!

I did a tighter crop first. Catia catia 10-02-2003, 12:08 PM Here is one done with the watercolor script in PSP8. Catia DannyRaphael 10-02-2003, 12:26 PM Another nice one to play with... thanks, Fluff. Catia: I like #2 a lot. The PSP8 WC script is very effective on this one. Sure beats the tar out of Photoshop's sorry excuse for watercolor. :) catia 10-02-2003, 01:03 PM Danny, PSP8 certainly has some interesting capabilities. I like the Effect Browser. For example, you can view thumbnails of the Brush Stroke presets (all 38) at one time. A little like PE, only you get to see the results side by side rather than try to remember how the previous selection looked. The impressionist version above is the result of the impressionist preset in PSP8. From what I am reading about PS8, a similar browser may be in that version of Photoshop. Catia Fluffbutt 10-02-2003, 06:35 PM Once again, Catia proves herself the Impressionist goddess.. Very nice!! DannyRaphael 10-02-2003, 08:20 PM After cropping, a straight shot of Photo-Paint 10's Watercolor filter + a little clone touchup work. annadarling 10-02-2003, 09:48 PM I really like the texture on your impressionist rose, Catia. I like your watercolor version for its clarity, Danny. Here's my filtered little smudge... rlspencer1 10-04-2003, 03:42 PM Annadarling and Fluffbutt: Annadarling your frame is neat and the way you did the petals in blue was nice touche. Fluffbutt thank you for a nice image. Just more Photartmaster with Photoshop texture sandstone and Extensis watercolor frame Bob Spencer annadarling 10-05-2003, 12:36 AM Bob - I like the effect you achieved with the leaves, shadows, and background - lots of interesting variation there - and the clarity you achieved with your rose. The creative matting you used really makes your artwork stand out! |
