DannyRaphael 10-19-2003, 11:03 PM Combined the results of two actions... the "watercolor" layer rendered by Mike Finn's Insta-sketch [beta] available here http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~mikefinn/action.html and an action from my personal collection (e-mail me if you'd like a copy). ~Danny~ jch71566 10-21-2003, 08:22 AM Danny, I like both the image and your watercolor! I took a different approach -- something SPOOKY! :ogre: Anyway, here are the steps: * Tachyon * Dupe layers, highpass top layer (overlay) * Edge-Preserving smooth on bottom layer * Create new layer from merged * Boss-Emboss * Dupe Edge layer * Save -Jeff jch71566 10-21-2003, 08:28 AM Umm... Let's attach the file this time... rlspencer1 10-21-2003, 04:29 PM Danny: Thanks for the image, I hope you don't mind but I flipped the church around. To me anyway it seemed more natural. Anyway since you posted Fieval Gothic I tried that first then applied Mike Finns Mattise. Thanks Bob Cheryl H 10-22-2003, 12:12 AM Danny--nice mix of actions. I like the simplification mixed with the mottled colors. Jeff--certainly a midnight type mood--good for the halloween season Bob--that's beautiful. It's got such a nice, light feel to it. I used my mixed bag process again. I'll get out of this stage soon. The bottom (color) layer is MS impressionist followed by paint engine. The upper (sketch) layer is buzz simplifer and edges mono followed by impressionist then paint engine. Blending mode was color burn. jch71566 10-22-2003, 07:29 AM Bob - this is very nice; I like the way the leaves look painted and the church looks photographed. Good contrasts. Cheryl, I LOVE THIS!!!! It looks like the pieces of paper pasted on to the background. WOW! :bigthmb: rlspencer1 10-22-2003, 03:32 PM jch71566 and Cheryl H: Thank you so much for what you said it was very kind. This whole forumn is a nice place to hang out. Thank you all for a nice supportive place to be. Bob Cheryl H 10-22-2003, 05:10 PM Thanks Jeff--impressionist and buzz seem to work well together--at least so far ;) Bob--glad you're enjoying the forum. I look forward to seeing more of your work. ahutton 01-09-2004, 05:13 PM I applied Paint Engine's Sponge filter, lessened Then PSP8's Colored Edges, black. Softened. AmyHutton |
