Thanks T Paul 11-12-2003, 09:12 AM Some advice I found using Google... It won't be as good as a fisheye lens but... Select the area, using the circular selection tool, and use the Spherize Filter in the Filters menu. The effect is adjustable and can even be inverted. Tip, if you use the spherize filter in PhotoShop, try temporarily increasing the canvas size well beyond the edges of your actual image, applying the filter, then re-cropping... this will give subtler results without the "circular border" artifact you would otherwise get in the corners. heathrowe 11-12-2003, 06:59 PM another alternative is to use the Liquify Filter, and then use the 'Bloat Tool' works great for this fisheye affect.... not that i can see thru the eyes of a fish ... wink wink cheers heathrowe photoshopmama 11-13-2003, 11:42 AM For fisheye effect, also try the Distort>Pinch filter. It has a little more lattitude than the Spherize filter. Also note that these filter by default apply the contour from the center of the canvas outward. Here's an example of the effect. Starting of with making a selection of the head and jumping it to a new layer. Applied the Pinch, then added a layer mask to make it blend with the untouched original below. http://www.shanzcan.com/retouchpro/pinch.jpg Mama Shan agila 11-19-2003, 01:43 AM thank you so much mamashan, heathrowe, and tpaul. photoshopmama 11-19-2003, 12:41 PM You're welcome...and I'd love to see if this method gives you any kind of satisfaction with your fisheye vision for your piece. Love to see a picture posted with your results!!! Luvs, Mama Shan |
