I need help on watermarking an image. Does anyone know of a quick, easy way of doing this? I do not have money to buy any type of watermarking program, so I would need to learn how to do this within either Photoshop or PSP. Any help you can give to me would be appreciated. I know this has been talked about before, but they suggested using programs other than Photoshop and PSP. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Are you looking for a way of "secretly" embedding a watermark within an image so it's not immediately visible, or a way of incorporating visible text (e.g. a copyright statement) into an image so it can be clearly seen to deter others from taking the image for printing or to pass off as their own?

I am looking for a way to put a copyright statement right on the photo/image itself. I have seen people incorporate transparent logos as their watermark. I am very interested in this, but I do not know how as of yet. I would appreciate any help you could give to me. Thank you.

There is a REALLY easy way to do that in Photoshop :)

Make a new layer and put your text on it (I use white text).

Go to the layer styles, and either emboss or bevel the text to give it a 3d format (I like the way emboss looks personally).

Now go to the top of the layer styles choices, click on Blending Options: Custom. Under Advanced Blending chane the Fill Opacity from 100 to 0%.

Tada! Watermarks :)

Glad to be of help :) My significant other taught me that trick, and I was amazed at how fast and easy it was!
