I selected and cut the tiger. Bg painted with very weak blues and greens. Grass painted on own layer. Ran paint daubs, cutout and poster edges on all three separately. Dup. layers and fooled with blends to get 'punch'. I seem to be in a dark blue and yellow/orange rut lately. That's all I can remember.

kiska--cool effect that works great with that image.

I used the cymk masking http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8242 with impressionist and paint engine. Took a copy of the result into lucis and played a little then blended the results together.

Another blast from the past. I don't know why this didn't get more attention.

Been messing with torn edge filter again.

of all the animal kingdom, i think i like the big cats the best. i did two versions, both based on a filter forge rendition and then separate post work in Paint Shop Pro xi on both.

Beautiful animal. Too bad they are getting more hard to find in the wild.

Been a while since I opened up my Java Jar Mosaic Tile creator. Attached is a crop; here (http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/4563/citigerrestingkevinnh2.jpg)'s the complete rendering (little more then 900K). :)

You guys that use Paint Shop Pro, what do you think of X2? I have a chance to upgrade from PSP8 for a pretty good price, but don't know if I should.

definitely upgrade, shari. if you had 9, 10, or 11, i'd say it's up to you, but anything before 9, upgrade.

i just really like this picture. so, here's another, this time from a new filter forge filter i'm about finished making. this image helped me make a few final adjustments to the filter. then, off to Paint Shop Pro for a little post work.

it's not a typical look, but i sort of like it.

very nicely done, photomaster! love how you evened out the shadows and removed the blues from them. nice, clean look.

I was determined to keep track of what I did on this picture, but somewhere in the middle....:dizzy: I do know that I duped the original a couple of times, then ran Xero's lineart filter and merged layers, then I tried out a watercolor tut. Then I lost track, fiddled with color, and heavens knows what else. Finally I added a mask and some texture.
