Interesting crop in this picture by Jeff. Lots of chrome should be exciting to manipulate.

Enjoy...

<Fluffbutt purrrs into the room gracefully>

I tried a new idea - I notice that so many watercolourist start with a basic background wash, then add the outlines, then the dark bits, working up to lighter stuff.

This was made with a wash in one layer, then three seperate layers above, with layer masks made from shadows, midtones, and hilites.

Then I played with Imp. plugin, and some hand work, on eash layer. Set different opacities for each layer, then merged them down to the wash layer.

<Fluffbutt twitches an ear, smiles in that kitty-kat way, and drops a picture onto the floor>

I used Xero ArtGrain to increase the saturation, then I used Xero Abstractor. I did a lot of experimenting to get the effect I wanted for the outlines, and then I tried Cybia's edges-fx. I did a chromium on a hard light layer, and that was just the right thing, although not what I had visioned.

fluff--I like it--it looks touchable

jeff--nice job--you've got the perfect amount of metal effect to make the most of the image.

I seem to have gone blotto crazy.
All kinds of filters, textures, transform, pixel painter action, etc.
