Here's an example of why it's not a good idea to mix modes... Somehow I got in my head that I wanted to do a combination oil painting with mosaic tiles. Sounded good on paper, but result? Eh.

The reason I'm posting this is to give me a reason to link to a thread where a free AutoFX Mosaic plugin can be obtained. Click HERE (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7530).

The price is right (free) and results are pretty neat.

How did you do the frame? That really sets it off.

The frame was quite easy. As follows:-

Add 5pixel border, select and add Ulead Art Texture Gold, invert and give main image drop shadow twice.

Add 50 pixel border, select and flood fill with main image pattern. Give it a Simple Filter Diamonds, Topography effect and brush strokes effect.

Add 10 pixel border, select and add Ulead Art Texture Gold and Inner Bevel.

And you are finished.

It sounds a lot but only takes less than 5 minutes to do.
