They rarely do them justice, and always alter the storyline, never for the better. "atlas shrugged" might have made a good movie. Kraellin 08-02-2005, 07:47 AM ah gary, i see you're one of the purists :) i enjoyed the movies. i always wanted to see the Foundation trilogy by asimov done in a movie. same with Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein. but i was somewhat aghast at how badly I, Robot got hacked in its recent movie form. and Starship Troopers was unrecognizable. and if the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan ever gets finished, that would make one whale of a cinematic tale. Oh, that's what it's written as. That explains everything. I was okay with it for a while there but finally gave up when I had to start turning the book in different directions to read it. The story was quite good when i finally got into it, but it would have been much better had it been a good 100 pages shorter, so a movie version could do it good. aceman 05-22-2006, 10:24 PM The A song of Ice and Fire series buy George R.
