I am looking for a tutorial on fixing eyeglass reflections. I have tried the one in Katrin Eistman's first book and just can't seem to get it right. This is one of the photos that i have to fix.

After a disapponting Internet search for a "tutorial on fixing eyeglass reflections", I tried Katrin Eismann's tutorial on your picture ....

I copied the underside of each eye, flipped it vertically and pasted it over the reflection .... I added Layer masks and hid whatever didn't fit in and played with the Opacity ....
I created new Empty Layers (blendings: Darken, Lighten, Soft Light and Overlay) to blend or emphasize the corrections ....

I've tried what you suggested,and this will probalbly show my inexperience, but what do you mean by "created new empty layers" .

Hi Denschneider & Flora, I did a little web search and came up with this method. I haven't tried it out yet, but it looks a good option from my quick scan of the tutorial. Have a go and let us know how you get on.

To create new empty Layers:

1) Click on the "create new layer" tab at the bottom of your Layer's Palette. (see attachment)

To change the new Layer's Blending:

1) Click on the arrow on the "set blending mode for the Layer" at the top left of your Layer's Palette, and, from the cascading menu, choose the blending you like.... (see attachment) ....

thank you so much for taking time to find the tutorial :happy: .... I tried it and think it works wery well when the glare is not as drastic (like in denschneider's picture) as to remove the eye details underneath .....
