| View Full Version : How would I add the final touch ? cvstudios 08-25-2004, 10:39 AM no comments found PatrickB 08-25-2004, 11:27 AM Hello there! I like the work you did in general, what I miss is the "point", that what you meant? To me it's neither showing any harmony nor any opposite to make the viewer focus on something. What I'd suggest is: colorize the background clouds to give it some harmony. fade the babys dress color a little, it's very very heavy compared to the rest of the picture. Maybe colorize the womans hair. Add some kind of halo around the baby and the woman. That's just some thoughts that popped in my mind while looking at it ;) Patrick cvstudios 08-25-2004, 11:50 AM no comments found. Gary Richardson 08-25-2004, 02:50 PM Add a shadow area under her elbow, it appears to be hanging in space at the moment. roger_ele 08-26-2004, 12:43 AM One of the things you are fighting is that the pose and mood of the photo is great, but the lighting, the angle of the faces and the big shoulder distraction makes it a tough one. I hope you don't mind, I saved it off of your web site and played with it a little. I darkened and lowered the contrast in the areas of distraction. I don't have any strong opinions on coloring - if tone and lighting is right the coloring becomes less of a problem. I do find the grey skin tone against the red cheeks a little distracting. Hope this helps, Roger roger_ele 08-26-2004, 12:50 AM By the way, I love the home page on your web site - ver creative and classy! THese are the two ways I saw of playing with this further ... The scootched arm, I just changed the shape of the bottom left, if you changed perspective on the whole image the faces would be distorted ... Have fun, Roger gamo 10-12-2004, 01:36 PM Hi! If i should make my finish on that photo, i would make it all bw, or at least give it all the same amount of color. The edges around the two persons could need a bit if feather, so that its fit the background better. But of cause its easier to see when you try it. thats my suggestion... gamo 10-12-2004, 01:38 PM ... the feather should perhaps only be around their hair, just so the "hair-edge" aint that sharp. |
