Here's a copy of another slide I took over 25 years ago. It's an old packet house on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal, built by the Duke of Bridgewater around 1760 to carry coal from his mine at Worsley to the docks in Manchester.

Impressionist: Crayon: Distressed Fresco Rubbing; background : image; brush 41%
Art History Brush: soft pastel brush (stock) set to 40 pixels., brushed over whole image.
Added mist over the water with MF Misty Glow action.

I essentially fiddled with a lot of filters so can't recall them all now. However, ended up applying Impressionist, Stamp/Dry Rag.

Just tried to get the mood right...

- Used CG Lineart to get a good line drawing;
- Screened this together with a normal grayscale version to get a clear-cut base to work on;
- Applied gradient maps calibrated for each color, and painted the masks to colorize;
- Blended in another copy of the base, as overlay, to increase the contrast.

Here was a different way of applying the Art History Brush.

Duplicated background
Optipix: Select Edges: Fine Detail
Unmask Sharp: 137/.7/0
Deselect: Curves Adjustment to increase contrast
Reselect: MT layer, fill with 95% White
Hide Marching Ants: Cntl-D
Paint over with Trimoon Watercolor Preset Brush, I used 23 pixel , 50% opacity
Painted over several times. (I can't remember if I inverted selection and painted more)
Curves Adjustment to bring out more contrast.
