Hi, this is one of my work I've done. I need opinion of people who work in photoretouching. Let's think that retouch work is possible to value with points 1-10 , (10 -the best) how much points would you give me for that photo?

It's really well done, the only thing I can think of that might need alteration is the left hand wall made darker or ideally the right hand wall (with shadow) lightening a little.
I won't grade you because it serves no real purpose, you have achieved a good result that looks natural.

I agree with Mike....maybe even change the background altogether. This is a very well done retouch!

Hi Izku,
Welcome to RP! :pleased:
I think you moved the baby very well and in a very natural way ... so natural that it actually seems the baby was there to start with!!
I agree with Mike, but even more with PixiePirate about the background ...
So, for what 'marking' is concerned, I would give you a 10 for the 'repositioning' of the baby and an 8 as overall mark because of the backgound...
Well done!

Hi,
Your retouching is really great. When I looked at the picture at the right at first I didn't think anything was done the two subjects until I looked a little closer....that shows ya how natural it looks.
Although, I thought the childs hair/head looked a little too rounded compared to the original. I tried to reselect the hair on the left and tried again.
Please, post your interpretations of the difference
Thank you for opinions! About background... you know , when I do retouch work I always wanna to leave people in place they where on the photo, but you make me think that sometimes it's good idea to create new backgrund too.
WhideAngle - I think you have good eye for details :)
Very often I retouch really old photos and I wonder if you guys have the same feelings as my. I look at people on the photo and I know that most of them passed away and maybe little babies I look at on the photo are 100 years old now.
It's like to repare time. It's not possible to stop it but to keep photo readable brings life to the memory. My mind doesn't stay in old times too long but long enough to make me feel instead to work only.

Very well done! I haven't spotted the flaw until other members talked about that.
