I can't get the tools to load at all from cd. I am using XP home and when it comes to the screen to show which file to save to I put c:\Program files\ Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2 and get the password box. I type in the password from my book and it blanks it out and I type it again. This happens three times and then it goes back to the first.
Any Ideas?
Please advise

Ron

This message is in the wrong forum. The CS book has actions which you load through the Actions palette. Your Elements tools should load with the installer. It is likely that you are not selecting a destination for the files. Please read the screens carefully when installing!

OK?

Hi there,

Although I am used to solve complex problems in my PC (yes, I do a lot of changes and sometimes I damage it...), the solution 2, which is quite simple, was not working, i.e. the power tolls were not appearing as part of the palette. It was solved after I decided to double click in any of the atn files recently copied to my drive D, I had to select "Open with -> select from a list -> Photoshop Elements 3. After this action, I just checked that all files in the four folders created by the Power Tools installation were associated to Photoshop Elements 3 and the Power Tools were part of the palette.

Happy new year!!!

Carlos...are you in the wrong forum too? The tools for Photoshop CS are installed using the LOAD function on the Actions palette. You seem to be discussing Elements 3...and that has a different forum -- found here:
