first - auto levels, high pass to bring out more details...
2 layers (copies of background)
bottom - chalkaholic, impressionist (pencil - soft detailed, 94% cover), poster edges (0,0,3)
top - amphisoft simplifier (radius 7, spread 7), ormente fluorizer just to enhance colours, opacity 50%, blend-hard light...

I basically made multiple snapshots using different artistic filters and painted with the history brush.

Applied cubism pluging by xero.

Applied canvas texture.

Great work. Inpirational even.

First I made it ice-covered

Rotate canvas 90 degrees CW
Filter -> Stylize -> Wind (default settings)
Rotate canvas 90 degrees CCW
Control + U for Hue/Saturation - checked "Colorize" and adjusted sliders to my liking
Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap
Duplicated layer
Filter -> Artistic -> Watercolor
Duplicated layer
Filter -> Sketch -> Photocopy
Adjusted opacity of top layer (photocopy)

Constructive criticism is always welcome :)

I like your end result. Looks like a thickly painted monotone painting to me. Perhaps an acrylic look to it.

Only complaint is that the sky, to me, seems to not match up with the boats as far as similar artistic effect. Not sure why this is. Perhaps due to it's being more of an open space, the other filters are more noticable.

Otherwise, nice job. :happy:

Tyler - thanks for your critique! I agree with what you said about the sky. I'd like to give this one another go, and I'll keep what you said in mind. Thanks again.

This version has a couple of layers. The top one is Cybia edgeworks. The others are a cutout, and a normal layer.
