Ok, I got one here that is really stumping me. I am wondering if there is a quick fix for all or even some of the damage in this photo. Anything to cut my time on this down :D. Thanks so much for any help you guys can give.

as far as your pic goes...
It would be much better to post any photos in .jpg or .tiff.
.gif will not show as many colors :)
I could possibly help but your file is too small.
I have highspeed so a file size around 200k is fine.
thanks

Hi 1STLITE,
.... I agree with slipchuck ... :classic:
....Here is an example of what could be done with the discolorations in your picture ....
Here (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?p=75171#post75171) , you can find a 'quick' guide for Size, Quality and Format of Attachments ...

I appreciate your responses, and Flora that looks great. The point is that I want to know if there is a way to get rid of those white-ish marks without having to basicly paint the picture back in. I am just at a loss of how to approach it.
What did you do there to get rid of it, Flora?
I will try to get a bigger pic posted if it is needed.
Thanks. :)

Hi 1STLITE,
thanks for your feedback! :pleased:
To fix the discolorations (working on the face and surrounding area only), I created two new empty layers (Multiply and Overlay) on top of the background ... and with a fuzzy brush, (10/30% Opacity) picking the colours from the sorrounding area, I just painted over the whitish spots...
A 'selective' levels Adjustment Layer was the last step. (I'm attaching a snapshot of my layers' Palette.)
Hope this helps....

Hi Dawn, just a quick question. Like many people on this site, you use " lol ", what does it mean, is this just an American usage or what? I've been meaning to ask this for some time, and decided maybe you're the one who could tell me.

Gary,
:) .... 'lol' or 'LOL' is the short for 'laughing out loud' .... used as a way to 'show' your emotions/feelings in the Internet, long before the 'creation' of the smilies ....

Thanks Flora, like a lot of things, blatantly obvious when you know the answer. This explains the many different contexts, I've seen it used in, and that were confusing me the most. Thanks again.
Thanks for asking the question Gary. I was always too embarrassed to ask. I knew it wasn't short for lollipop!
Cheers
