Hi,
I have just scanned a photo from the mid 1960s. It is color and badly faded. I have noticed that the diamond pattern in the matte photo emulsion (I think that is a good way to describe it) is evident in the scan and hinders my ability to clean up the picture. Has anyone had to deal with such a thing? How do I best minimize the effect on the picture. Please let me know if you need a better description of what I'm dealing with.

Thanks!
Chris

I back up T's recommendation of the tutorial (http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&id=140) by Flora -- it does really make a difference.
