When I use the distort filter>displace, with my own grayscale image as the map, strange writing appears. My images are used ONLY. Why do the words appear?
thanks

My guess is that yours wasn't flattened and didn't have a composite image (a save option). Chip Hildreth 11-24-2004, 10:01 AM Appears that the "maximize compatibilty" box is unchecked in the File Handling dialog under preferences (PS7). I'm not sure where the text is showing up but assume it's not in PS proper but rather another viewing program. That's about all I know about that one... except when you turn Max Compatibility on it takes a loooonnng time to save a 400MB layered file. Chip kiska 11-24-2004, 10:53 AM You guys got it. I had the image flat but max. compatibility was turned off. Thanks. It's been driving me CRAZY! kiska |
