Would someone be kind enough to give me some general guidelines on how to remove the eyeglasses on this old high school picture? I've tried a number of things and the results are always less than stellar.

DannyRaphael 12-09-2004, 10:23 PM Having never tackled anything quite like this before, I thought I'd give it a go just for the halibut. About 5-minutes into it I could visualizes problems to come, one of which was "What about eyebrows?" (I had no luck surfing the web for some to spice in.) Since I can't see your attempts, I have no way of knowing if this is an improvement over the results you got or not. If you think it is, I'll be happy to go into the details of what I did even though IMO it falls short of the quality for which I'd hoped. In any event it was an educational exercise. ~Danny~ Flora 12-10-2004, 10:32 AM Hi ChevyLu, Danny, Danny, I think you did great!! Having been cropped so closely, there were very few areas you could clone or patch/heal from .... :o: ChevyLu, I had a go at your picture .... First thing I did, was create a new empty Layer on top of the background and with a soft brush (Opacity 10-20%, airbrush option checked) I painted over the glasses sampling colour from close areas. As for the eyebrows, well, it's very difficult to 'invent' when you have never seen the subject, so I gambled/cheated ... :D ... I borrowed 'similar' eyebrows from somebody else's picture... Hope this helps... DannyRaphael 12-10-2004, 10:43 AM You are the master-ess, Flora. Simply amazing work. Flora 12-10-2004, 10:50 AM Wow, Danny... Thanks!!! .... |
