I did this of the picture added its my version of drawing, i won't say how i did it at moment cos i am going to write a tutorial with screenprints for people who use PSP. DannyRaphael 01-08-2005, 03:04 AM ...I am going to write a tutorial with screenprints for people who use PSP. That would be great. We'll take all the PSP help we can get. Hope you're feeling better soon. ~Danny~ jaykita 01-08-2005, 04:32 AM Well, hope you enjoy viewing this as much as i did creating it! Several layers - increase saturation, cut-out, posterize, art history brush, and emboss, all diff blends. Axleuk 01-08-2005, 01:03 PM jaykita - Your rendition has a very Pop Art feel about, the colours are very bright and vibrant, great job. My example shouldnt really belong here, well at least i dont think it should as it is more of an enhancement retouch than a creative rendition, however seeign as the image was used i have to post it nontheless, i hope you dont mind. Copied main image Smothed the skin and applied sligh makeup to the cheeks, eyes and lips. Colour burned then applied a hipass mask sharpen to the hair. Curve control on the RGB, Red and Blue and Green Levels adjustment Imported image into Auto FX Mystical Lighting to apply a light cast on the face and chest then ran a colour correction to the whole image. Provided link as the compression has undesired results. Several layers - increase saturation, cut-out, posterize, art history brush, and emboss, all diff blends. Very bold. I admire your stretching the boundaries of creativity. Great, eyecatching color. jaykita 02-03-2005, 10:46 AM Thank you very much, Danny. This recipe contains the art history brush, ps filters brush strokes-accented edges, texturizer, usm in ps7. sidis 02-07-2005, 05:36 PM Buzz Simplifier + Gothic Glow + Tweaks . raniday 11-05-2005, 02:01 PM This is a great photo, Danny. I downloaded it a while back and finally got around to painting it, using Judy's watercolor technique...........well, mostly. ;) Steve Conway 11-05-2005, 03:18 PM Looks like these folks were going for a Wyeth look here, but the model looks uncomfortable. Steve Duv 11-05-2005, 04:21 PM Agree with you Steve, maybe a slight body turn to camera and an elbow bend. Don't like how the straight arm anchors into the ground. Nice effect BTW. Thought I'd give it a vertical crop. Cheers Dave Steve Conway 11-06-2005, 09:49 AM Maybe this is not the only shot they took that day. Would be interesting to see other poses in same location. Thanks for your kind comments. Steve Agree with you Steve, maybe a slight body turn to camera and an elbow bend. Don't like how the straight arm anchors into the ground. Nice effect BTW. Thought I'd give it a vertical crop. Cheers Dave cazubi 11-06-2005, 01:49 PM Beautiful, Raniday. Ditto Steve and Duv. I used Lucis and Buzz, and some hue and sat adjustments. I ran a Ted Lacascio oil action, and made my own adjustments. Cathy  Duv 11-06-2005, 02:29 PM Nice Cathy! You've got lots of stuff I don't have but would like to get sometime. Dave ydelle 11-06-2005, 05:45 PM Nev, how did you get that  affect of the paint washing off the canvas toward the frame. today I used one I got in one of the forums and it looked fine but the more choices I have the better (for the look I am after). ydelle cazubi 11-06-2005, 08:15 PM Dave, I confess...I have a passion for filters and plugins. Cathy :classic: Steve Conway 11-07-2005, 08:26 AM Your nice comments are appreciated Cathy. Thanks. Steve Beautiful, Raniday. Ditto Steve and Duv. Cathy  lkroll 12-18-2005, 08:24 AM Knew I had to use a lot of compression to get in under 100K. Figured I would take a little advantage of the artifacting (gives the oil more of a smushed stroke fill) for this one. For the curious, here (http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/7765/cpdianam1edward6is.jpg) was my original intent (nearly 500K). :) Duv 12-18-2005, 11:51 PM Gorgeous! Love that chunky style. I tried to do a combination of Deep Paint and Impressionist. Like yours way better though! Cheers Dave Swampy 12-19-2005, 11:55 AM You people do such lovely pait effects. My niche leans more to the commercial art look. As said above, this photo does have some flaws and if I had to use it in an ad or brochure, here's what I would do to make it a little more appealing. It's an old trick to recrop, frame the subject and blur the background, but the technique lends itself to this photo. Anything to draw the eye away from that locked elbow. <wink>. Also, this technique took about 3 minutes to complete. When time is money, that bears some consideration too. Kraellin 12-20-2005, 03:01 PM cat, love your rendition. the grain/grass effect is very cool and complements the reds of her dress perfectly. very lovely. Craig Peter S 11-30-2007, 05:37 PM Nearly 3 years late for this one. Ah well better late than never. Peter palms1 12-01-2007, 04:32 AM Nearly 3 years late for this one. Ah well better late than never. Peter Ditto here Steve Conway 12-01-2007, 02:35 PM Still looks like a Wyeth to me. Here's another look. Steve C. stosh7 12-01-2007, 05:52 PM Went for the watercolor look. changed the crop and worked on the smile a bit. Stosh |
