:happy: Any idea's on what the best preferences are for adobe photoshop 7

The best preferences are the ones that work best for you. For the type of work you wish to do, for the way you work. In short, there is no "right" preferences, just those that you feel most comfortable working with, what works for me may be awful for you, so experiment, it really is the best way to learn.

Gary is right, it is what works best for you.

If the question is what do we do that helps us, I'm sure we could help more.

One thing that I like (because I'm used to working with ruby overlays) is to change the transparency grid from grey on white to a 30% red on a 15% red. Makes it really obvious where your transparency is.

And of course, you might hate it.

Hi Romany, sorry for the slightly negative reply before, but I did'nt want to give you a load of my preferences that may be confusing and of no use to you.

I know when you're first learning new software it can seem a bit overwhelming, but all you really need to do is keep plugging away, we all started where you are, and it just takes a little time to find your way around.

The one thing you will find from this site is that there's always many ways of accomplishing the same task, and that everyone here is helpful and accessible.
