Greetings,

I have recently purchased a copy of Painter IX and I am experiencing a problem that is causing my PC to restart.

When i am doing any work with the Wacom tablet the CPU tempreture seems to rocket. I have a tempreture monitor running and when the pen hits the tablet the CPU activity rockets to 100% and because i work with small precise movements, any extended strokes or time spent in contact with the wacom tablet seems to create unwanted rises in temp.

Now i have the side off my machine and a household fan running all the time which reduces the overall system temp to approx %0 so it always nice and cool, but even with such an artillery cooling the system down, this rise in temp ultimately switches my machine off and as you can imagine, i loose any unsaved work and it has come to the point where i can no longer work in Painter for fear of this lose.

My System spec is as follows:

AMD Athlon 2000+
Win XP Pro
512 Meg DDR Ram
NVidia Geforce MMX 440 64 Meg DDR

The system should be more than capable of handling this kind of application

Any Ideas ?

Mainboard is 18.0 c and the CPU registers at 0.0c when idle

One thing i noticed was that my Core voltage is +1.76V
