Weather glorious, wishing you were here....! Legacy~Art 01-20-2005, 04:54 PM Your making me so jealous... Here the weather is freezing, we have gale force winds and its so cold its untrue...But enjoy your beaches lol we don't care hahaha! Duv 01-20-2005, 06:15 PM I love the light down in Aussieland. Here's a couple of straight out of the box pOpArTisT, the second one once adjusted. Neve 01-21-2005, 12:08 AM I'm a rotten thing...LOL...for posting this when half the world is freezing. However, I do recall school-days in Edinburgh, Scotland with wellington boots on, long socks continually falling down unless kept up with a rubber band...and chaffed sore legs from the cold, trudging through the snow, slush, sleet, generally over black ice! Miserable. Your result brought a smile to my grandson's face Duv, thank you. Very effective result TP and a wonderful painting Axle, thank you for giving this a go. Yes...I have to agree about the colours of OZ, they are unique and striking. DannyRaphael 01-21-2005, 04:12 AM It's OK, Neve... We'll get back at you in July! - - - - - T: Nice fluffy clouds you added. All-blue skies are pretty but not as interesting as ones with clouds. - - - - - After enlarging the image I found the partial umbrella in the foreground distracting, so I patched over it before proceeding. I found a free plugin at www.PowerRetouche.com. You have to install a demo of their plugin offering to get it, but the freebee is pretty cool. I used it for an overall color boost beyond what Hue/Sat. can provide. Also used one of the Impressionist presets CherylH created. See Cheryl's post in this thread (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8328) for a link to her Yahoo briefcase. Just a lot of layers and effects spliced together using layer masks and selections. See LP snapshot for the roadmap. ~Danny~ Neve 01-21-2005, 07:31 PM Yes, I'm sure everyone will get back at me later! LOL Terrific result Danny! Thank you for the free filter info. I already have PR Studio Black and White and after I installed the Demo you mention, I found that the Free Filter PR Brightness automatically listed beside PR Studio Black and White category which will make it easier to locate. I experimented with it and know this is going to be a very, very useful addition which will cut down on preparation time spent on many images prior to painting etc. p.s. Thanks also for the link to Cheryl's briefcase! PamSav 01-22-2005, 08:20 AM Here's my attempt !! Duplicated background and added gaussian blur. Created b/w difference clouds layer (blend mode overlay, opacity 36%) Duplicated background again, applied smart blur, edges only, inverted and applied gaussian blur. Blend mode set to multiply. Reduced layer opacity to 82%. Merged all layers into new layer, applied Impressionist filter (JCH Van Gogh) Duplicated background again, placed under Impressionist layer. Set blend mode of Impressionist layer to lighten. Neve 01-22-2005, 03:17 PM What a rare result Pam, I very much like this...! JustChecking 01-31-2005, 02:03 PM awesome renditions, people! Danny - love the colours Dave - the pOpArTisT worked fantastic, great idea T Paul - that would make a great winter postcard, but luck there are those people ;) :D i used a bit of art hist brush to simplify those "houses" [dunno the correct word, sorry], the rest is impressionist... |
