Yes it's time for another round of, everyone all together now….Art Tag!
This round will start Thurs 3 Feb 2005.

This time it will be Art Tag with a twist.

Scavenger Hunt

Instead of the standard two photos, each player will get a photo and an object to add to the photo. You will have to find the object via your own collection of items, the web or make it yourself and add it to the photo.

Are you guys up to the challenge?

If you want to play, just send me a PM and be sure to spread the word and bring some new players with you!

Before we see any results, I'd like to apologize to my mates on team2. I was second in line and got my assignment in a very timely manner. I took a look at the material and started thinking about what I could do. I figured there was no rush -- I had all day to get something and then all evening to put it together.

I was promptly hammered by an impromptu birthday party (not my own) and a parent teacher conference that threatened to rival the planning of Operation Overlord in complexity. Once those things were dealt with, I sat down at my computer and failed to find images I thought would be terribly common. My life being what it is, if I Googled for the things I wanted right now, I would find two dozen good examples on the first hit, however....

Given the late hour and my lack of success, I punted. The (lame) result that I submitted simply didn't fit the bill and I had a "do-over". This cost me a full day, but I worked late into the night and got a more suitable image to submit. Regrettably, I was never able to work my "Pinky and the Brain" theme into my image, but perhaps somone will have more success than I.

Play on Retouchers!

Mark’s scavenger item was to find a computer (or some computerish technology). Well, as he said his first attempt didn’t quite meet the “computerish” category so he redid his entry. I thought I share the first attempt so his work was not in vain. I just love the Mickey Mouse hat!

Thank you T Paul. Now if somebody could just work in that essential Pinky and the Brain material!

Excellent job by all the players!

Each player had to find their listed object and add it to the existing photo.
The starting image was of a cute kitten in a basket.

Scavenger Hunt Items:
1. television remote
2. a computer (or some computerish technology)
3. traffic cone
4. porcupine

Great job by all, but I must admit when I saw that Doug added the porcupine quills to the kitten, I got a good laugh! Very creative approach Doug!

Yep Doug's porcupine quills were dynamite and Mark's 'borging the cat' was superb.

That was a fun round!

I agree. I snickered at that myself. And T Paul thank you for that vital Pinky-and-the-Brain touch that completed my abortive Micky Mouse cat.

This one was fun (after I got my act together). I think both products are a gas to look at.

Good work teams!

Just stumbled across this. This is too clever and cute for words! I love it! (both of them - but the prickly kitten is a master stroke...)
