What do you want to do and what information are you looking for?

Hi Arcadhia, as Legacy says, not sure what you want here. Your image was quite faded, and quite small, I did a quick improvement on it by Duplicating it, and setting the blend mode to multiply. Then duplicated this layer to get better image density. Then I applied a levels adjustment layer and upped the contrast a little. Lastly I cloned out any blemishes and ran it through Neat Image to reduce noise.

As I said, a larger image would allow a better assessment of any improvements that could be made. Hope this helps.

Hi Arcadhia – I did almost the same thing as Gary. I wanted to give it a try because it looked challenging. Here are the steps that I used:

1. Duplicated the background
2. Add a Level – Set blending mode to Multiply
3. Duplicated the level
4. Duplicated the level again but this time change the Opacity to 35%
5. Add another level (leave the blending mode set to Normal) – This level I used to adjust each color channel separately for improvement.
6. Add a Brightness/Contrast layer and adjust the contrast down -10
7. I cleaned the background up with the eraser
8. I used the Healing Brush to remove the spots on the face
9. I also removed the hair (at least I think it was hair) along the left check

Final Step - I ran it through Neat Image to reduce the noise as well as Gary.

I hope that helps!
Jon
