I created some "Spotlights" in the background by creating a Selection, Feathered about 15 pixels and filling it with a Linear Gradient. I would then contract the Selection and fill that with a white gradient. I added some spotlights pointing straight at the lens using the Lens flare filter and finally I added a bit of Render Lighting on the Background just to seperate the figure. Hope you like it. Regards Con Looymans Legacy~Art 02-25-2005, 05:02 AM Yeah yeah yeah!!! Singing along with him now.............. :hat: Con awesome work! gives the atmosphere of a superstar! JackK 02-25-2005, 10:35 AM Thanks... Gerry is going to get a kick out of it JackK CJ Swartz 12-02-2005, 12:38 AM Looking around in the old threads for images to try -- Kinda got lost in a number of layer blends and not sure what steps I took... palms1 12-02-2005, 06:02 AM Pity you are not sure what steps you took C.J. this looks a really interesting result (open it up dont just look at the thumb nail) and what's more I like it Palms Steve Conway 12-02-2005, 07:47 AM Man & Guitar. Steve Kraellin 12-02-2005, 08:33 AM cj, steve, i like both of these. very nice! thank you :) Craig Steve Conway 12-02-2005, 09:09 AM Hi Craig...thank YOU. To me it's still hard to beat the Impressionist style. Steve cj, steve, i like both of these. very nice! thank you :) Craig Steve Conway 12-02-2005, 09:13 AM Con, that's really a nice job of swapping backgrounds etc. Great idea! Steve cazubi 12-02-2005, 11:39 AM I used a Lucis plaid filter, buzzed another copy of layer, added some lines, and added texture and edge. Cathy :wavey: sylvia1065 12-12-2005, 06:39 PM Hi Cazubi, Love your soft colors!!! How do you manage to get them?? Excellent work! Sylvia Kraellin 12-12-2005, 10:20 PM lovely, cathy :) Craig Kraellin 12-12-2005, 10:39 PM i thought this gave it a little more depth. i havent played with this for a while; Paint Shop Pro has an effect called 'user defined filter'. it's a sort of make your own filter. psp 10 improved on how this works and now you can see your effects in real time as you make changes, which makes this tool much more valuable. at any rate, i decided to try this tool out on this image. i also added an extra layer of the original so i could do some blending of layers. and, that's what i came up with. Craig Steve Conway 12-13-2005, 08:10 AM Another try at this man & his guitar. Steve cazubi 12-13-2005, 08:45 AM Thanks Craig and Sylvia. I confess...I don't remember exactly what I did on this one. The Lucis and Buzz filters and some Photoshop adjusting is what I remember. Cathy :wavey: |
