Christine Xaran 02-24-2005, 03:27 AM Just to get things going heres one of my attempts with this picture. Painter IX and Helen Yancy tutorials used. Christine CJ Swartz 02-24-2005, 12:00 PM Oh, Christine -- she is such a cutie! Hope you get lots of great renditions, although your Painter rendition is a winner by itself! Mine is a colored sketch effect -- a sketch layer over a find edges-(fade effect) layer over which I run the Graphic Pen (pink/blue from the image), and add color from the original. jaykita 02-26-2005, 11:21 PM Christine, your grandchild is gorgeous! I made this with some outlining and layermasks using the default paintbrush in ps and also in painter with blender 'just add water', and some brushstrokes with acrylic soft wet brush. Yes, there was one render clouds layer, and added sandstone texture in ps for the final touch. Hope you like it! Neve 02-27-2005, 12:15 AM What a wee charmer Christine, she's beautiful and thank you for the photo! Wonderful Helen Yancy result - did you get her WC tutorial CD? Lovely result CJ and that's a beauty too Jaykita - love the colours! Neve 02-27-2005, 03:47 AM I truly appreciated the opportunity to try this out in Painter Christine and it was a joy to do in the process. :wavey: I cloned using Oils/Smeary Round (hadn't tried this before) Blenders/a mixture of Grainy Water and Painted Stump Cloners/Soft Cloner - mainly on mouth, eyes, ears and white blouse. Finishing touches in PSP8.1 I'm off on holiday next week and will be taking a few photos of another bonnie wee baby girl and very keen to do more just like Alice's portrait. Neve 02-27-2005, 03:52 AM Here's a detail of Alice, if anyone can guide me towards correcting the wrongs, I'd really appreciate it. P.S. It printed up very well. Xaran 02-27-2005, 06:28 AM Such loveley versions of this - I wouldn't want to have to choose between them. Neve - if your anything like me when you get near the little ones with your camera you'll be taking more than a few... The biggest problem I have with all 4 of my grandaughters is trying to get them to stay still long enough to take a picture. Christine Neve 02-27-2005, 06:48 AM What a joy, 4 grand-daughters! I have 4 grandsons and 1 Grand-daughter, so I completely understand  My grandsons want to take the photos :lmao: byRo 02-28-2005, 08:41 AM Hi Christine, Another Art-History (http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&id=164) rendition - hope you like it.
