Trimoon, Mark & Christine, all GORGEOUS and painterly! I did some layering with hue/sat changes, some dry brush, an outline done w/ smart blur set to overlay. kiska 03-03-2005, 10:17 AM I did apply image, Painter for strokes, Photoshop for masks and tweaking. Neve 03-03-2005, 05:46 PM Well done Kiska and Raniday....very nice painted brushstrokes indeed! :bigthmb: jaykita 03-08-2005, 06:48 AM Wonderful, colorful renditions, all! In corel photopaint 10, i added a couple of fill layers, different blends. They have loads of texture fills. Opened in painter, cloned with digital water color brushes. Added some brushstrokes of my own. Blended with original-luminosity blend. Janet Petty 03-08-2005, 07:23 AM Jaykita, thank you for the bright, cheery colors and fresh take on the water lily. I like the others. They are vibrant and dramatic. Yours, however, is a breath of fresh air. I needed that this morning. :) Janet Legacy~Art 03-08-2005, 07:55 AM How absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Neve 03-22-2005, 05:08 PM Judy - simply gorgeous! :bigthmb: It's a joy to view. malia01us 03-22-2005, 06:06 PM Great photo, Neve! Thanks for sharing it! :) This is only my 3rd post here, but I have been so inspired I just had to try something on this pic. I don't know why, but I immediately thought "postcard", so here's my version. Just a simple dry brush, watercolor filter, soft light mode. Several layers with outer glow, etc. Hope it does the pic some justice! BTW--Jaykita, your pic is AWESOME!!! Don't have photopaint, but WOW! :bigthmb: Take care, Donna Janet Petty 03-22-2005, 08:09 PM Very nice Donna. I like the feel and execution of your waterlilies. And if I haven't welcomed you before, consider this a big, hearty welcome. Janet Neve 03-23-2005, 12:36 AM Hi Donna and welcome! Great result :bigthmb: and glad you enjoyed the photo. malia01us 03-23-2005, 07:07 AM Thanks, Janet & Neve!! :wavey: Donna xplorer 03-23-2005, 09:11 AM They are all fantastic - but my favourite has to be the soft and subtle colouring of Judie's interpretation - it took my breath away with its beauty !! Something to aspire to ! xplorer 03-23-2005, 09:16 AM Apologies - I forgot to summarise the steps I took to produce my interpretation. Duplicated background ( twice ) On one - Impressionist / pencil / soft textured Moved two copies of background ABOVE this layer - one with Overlay mode ans one with Multiply mode. merged these layers then applied Virtual painter - Illena drawing and adjusted until I was happy ! Hope that helps. I never realised how complex these adjustments are until I had to start thinking about RECORDING them. jaykita 03-23-2005, 11:17 AM Thank you very much, Janet, Neve (hey! welcome back, friend! hope u had a lovely trip!), and Donna, xplorer. I have enjoyed your renditions as well. And a big welcome to you newcomers! TylerRB 03-23-2005, 03:29 PM Not sure exactly what this is supposed to be.... Duped original and isolated the flower. Curves, levels, and selective color adj. layers only on flower. Linked layers and merged. Copied flower twice to new layers and did minor adjustments to each. Gaussian blurred each new flower layer very minimaily ( under 1.0 pixels ) Cropped pic. a little bit. Created an explosion/glow effect with MythWave action. Put this in behind/on-top of pic. and changed blend mode to Saturation. Like I said, not sure what this is supposed to be..... T Janet Petty 03-23-2005, 03:38 PM Interesting take on the lilies. I quite like your interpretation. Janet Neve 03-23-2005, 04:02 PM Judy - Great to be back viewing so much inspiration again!!! Had a great time, plenty sunbathing, swimming, walking, eating and sleeping! :classic: |
