Buzzpro, simplifier1, manipulated a bit with colors, texture added. Photoshop watercolor filter (my favorite!) No problem... This is simply an outstanding interpretation, J. DannyRaphael 03-02-2005, 09:37 AM Made with a new Impressionist custom style brush set: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showpost.php?p=83550&postcount=13 The train interpretation was rendered with a draft version if this brush set: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showpost.php?p=83529&postcount=9 jaykita 03-02-2005, 09:45 AM Danny, you've done it again with your "impressionistic" talent!! I LOVE your creation!! And I thank you for your new set of impr styles. Can't wait to try them out. Neve 03-02-2005, 05:03 PM I want to put them both in my invisible Hall of Fame  raniday 03-02-2005, 09:02 PM Beautiful pictures, Jaykita & Danny! :bigthmb: Something very simple here, just Buzz Pro underneath a line drawing set to overlay, some color enhancement and a mask/frame. DannyRaphael 03-02-2005, 09:05 PM Nothing wrong with an uncomplicated approach, Catherine. Ya done good and I especially like the framing. Neve 03-03-2005, 04:01 AM Wonderful effort there Catherine! I like your framing too. Applied Cutout first in Photoshop. In PaintshopPro 8.1 place cutout layer over the original. I ventured into the Show All Mask on L2 using a Fuzzy Brush on the leaves, and a Van Gogh brush on the background. Smudged the apples and tree limb. Merged layers. Impressionist/Fluffbutts/Stevies Gouache - duped this layer Multiply on L2 at 60%. Added a canvas texture. My case is 3/4 packed now and squeezing in some play time :lmao: jaykita 03-03-2005, 07:11 AM Thanks, Raniday, Neve! Both fabulous creations! :bigthmb: :bigthmb: raniday 03-03-2005, 07:38 AM Thanks, Danny, Neve & Jaykita. Gorgeous work, Neve. I love how you've softened your background and made the apples prominent. I'm always a day late and a dollar short, but where are you going? :depressed catherine byRo 03-03-2005, 10:11 AM er...couldn't resist. Rô JustChecking 03-03-2005, 04:33 PM such diverse and wonderful renditions, one and all! kudos!!!!!! :wavey: SWEngineer 03-05-2005, 10:42 AM Tasty efforts all... (Overlay) -Mark TylerRB 03-05-2005, 05:06 PM Here is mine: Simple Level and Curves adjustments. Ran an ice filter over a layer and Differenced it over an original. Slight bit of rain/snow effect. Just trying something different. T crex 03-06-2005, 12:15 AM Just Kiding :) cardmnal 03-06-2005, 01:29 AM I thought this came out pretty cool ...and it was easy too... 1) Make a duplicate layer. 2) Adjust threshold on the background layer. 3) On top layer apply gaussian blur (around 9) 4) Set blending to darken and opacity at 82% 5) Flatten image 6) Filter>stylize>diffuse the second one added a frame DannyRaphael 03-06-2005, 12:22 PM cardmnal: very cool effect! :bigthmb: Tyler: Do you recall the source of the "ice filter"? That's a very interesting result. Titia 03-06-2005, 05:29 PM Ok, here's mine. PSP7. Photo 1: Grey layer over original, erased apples and some leaves, save version 1. Version 1: used effect/texture/sandstone, (reliëf: blurring 7, detail 34, brightness 20, lightening corner 11), saved version 2. Version 2: selected all. Version 1: pasted version 2 as layer over version 1 and merged them 57%. Resized 90% and added some colored frames. Photo 2: Used effect/artistic effects/colored contrast (blur 8, detail 11, color HTML code #BA6262, corner 44). Copy all and push backbutton to original and paste as layer. Merge layers 70% and choose 'difference' (arrow right). Saved all, resize 80% and added some colored frames. Titia Legacy~Art 03-08-2005, 10:10 AM Its not perfect but its driving me "Nuts" trying to get it right! Corel Painter and then in photoshop to sharpen it up. Neve 03-22-2005, 05:14 PM Wonderful effort from everyone  GOLDCOIN 04-01-2005, 04:28 PM Agree with that, Neve... Painter in Painter version 6 jaykita 04-01-2005, 06:59 PM Wow! Masterpieces all! That turned out very painterly, Gold Coin! Neve 04-01-2005, 07:10 PM Goldcoin....that is superb!!! GOLDCOIN 04-02-2005, 09:52 AM HI Judy & Neve... Thank you both!! ... mucho nice to hear such comments. Had to chop/crop it so many times to get it to post... something new? This is the original full size... http://www.pbase.com/goldcoin/image/41513921/original Fizzgiz 04-02-2005, 10:32 AM Here's mine. I used Photoshop Elements for this one. I did an Auto Levels adjustment and then a Hue/Saturation adjustmant layer. I played with different settings until I chose the one that I liked the best. (I like Granny Smith apples :) ) I played with the Impressionist brush, and then applied a glass filter. Then I used the Smudge tool to blend some more. I think I may have rearranged some layers at some point, too. Loved everyone's work as usual. :D obiron 04-02-2005, 02:08 PM Looks like the apples from our tree; these are wonderful renditions. Here's my try Used ErickN's watercolor action. Turned up the saturation a bit and used a watercolor texture instead of the action texture. Used a medium size oil brush from WOW collection. cardmnal 04-02-2005, 04:09 PM Great effects T. Now if i could only find my coat.....brrrrrrrrrrr. ahutton 04-02-2005, 04:46 PM Nice renditions all. I just eroded the edges and then used Impressionist Paint Small Daubs, with a small brush and canvas texture. Amy Neve 04-02-2005, 04:51 PM Thanks for letting us view your larger version Goldcoin - it IS marvellous. Fizzgiz - Agh, a couple of "granny Smith's" apples - good result. Obiron - great result Amy - Very nice indeed, good enough to eat?! |
