Colourising's not really my thing, but thought I'd have a go anyway.

The only 'extra added attraction' was Feivel's glow at the end.

I HAVE MADE MINOR CHANGES TO MY ENTRY.

The biggest challenge I had was to control the translucency of her shaw; hope I pulled it off. I also really like green eyes. Auburn red with green eyes is my favorite combination in a women; reminds me of Christmas. What a gift that would be for me. :)

Got some real competitors here. Looks like the voting will be difficult.
Here's my humble entry.

I forgot to mention, this represents about 6-8 hours of work and another 6-8 hours of just staring at it.

 Remember -- vote for Pedro.

Love to color!
Just a thought...wouldn't it be easier to view and vote on all the entries if they were in a gallery?

I think this is only the second time I've tried colouring images. Here's my attempt - I tried to make it somewhat accurate to the colours of the time.

About three hours work.

Well I thought I would try my hand at a colorization (my first), and hats off to everyone who has tried so far. I didn’t realize how difficult and time consuming this would be, and addictive! I started with the Worth 1000 colorization tutorial using primary color layers and went from there.

Trying to make the b&w picture look as if it was actually hand color was a change to try a new way to change the color of a picture. I think the picture turn out better than I had hope.

This is my first post here in a long while. Love the contest and I will be back for future challenges. I wanted this picture to look like a real, old color picture. Wanted to stay away from the blurry look and try to make it look as real as possible. I wanted to keep the film grain. Found out by doing this that using lots of tones makes it look much more realistic than one continous skin or hair tone. Hope you all like it. Great job everyone

P.s. I added a center to the rose, just didnt like the big black center it had.

I procrastinate even longer -- I decided that I needed to do this so I could vote -- didn't give myself enough time (colorizing for me takes a LOT of time). :dizzy: :)

The numbers on the images corresponds to the thread number the owner posted in the contest at RetouchPro.
