In a recent search for monitor calibrators I came across this (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001P5450/qid=1110020053/sr=8-5/ref=pd_bbs_5/104-6549127-8958365?v=glance&s=software&n=507846). $89 for a good hardware calibrator (if you hurry there's one for $79). It's worth it just so you can tell others that it's their monitor that's out of calibration :)
