Okay, this round is going to be a game of Art Volley vs. Art Tag, if I don't get a few more players. I know there must be a few more interested players lurking around out there. Don't be shy now..... ~T

Paul, What is Art Volley? Is this same as Art Tag pieces? Aside, a suggestion: You can bump up the new Art-Tag announcement threads. I assume some people must be viewing just the new posts and may miss the Art-Tag announcement. For a newbie the place of this forum in the hierarchy(Technique>Gallery>Art Tag) is not intuitive, unless one comes through the main challenges link.

Svsg, What I meant by "Art Volley" is that with only two players at the time I would have to pass it back and forth between them until the image was completed...kind of like volleying in tennis. It was my plea for more players. As for Art Tag announcements, when I initially announce the game it does show up as a new post as well as my pleas for more players (grin). ~T

Okay guys and gals, Art Tag Rubber Ducky starts tomorrow! Any more players out there? If you change your mind, this game usually runs for a couple of days before it's done, so don't hesitate to join the game if you find some free time over the weekend! ~T

Hi everyone, ok T Paul i'm waiting I must say though I'm subscribed to this thread AND to the ART-tag forum I didn't get any message that a new thread was started for the next ART TAG. It was just because I thought it took so long that I heard anything from ART TAG that I came to check. gina

Hi Gina, I uploaded my changed image and sent T Paul a PM yesterday (Sept. 12) at about 3:15 PM or about three hours after I received notification. I hope it went OK and T Paul actually got my message. I'm going to PM again...

What a fun round of art tag, OK, who did what ... I added my granddaughter (Alessandra) chewing her ducky on the first time through. The second time around I added the pearls (my wife (Joan) beads and loves pearls - some call her the pearl lady or Mrs. P - so I scanned one of her strands), eyelashes, the bird (more erased until it looked like the right shape than painted), sailor hat and floating tub stop to bring a little color into the corner. The first time through I held back to make sure there was room for others, the second time I figured oh-well - go for it! The whale and the sailboat were very well done, drawings? and very realistic cool lightning. I am curious how the bubbles were made - they are very pretty. The frame that finished it off fit right in there with the mood and is way fun... Way to go, Roger

Roger, I figured you did those embellishments the second time around and thought they were priceless. The pearls and eyelashes particularly, with that hat from the first round made me laugh out loud. I agree this image turned out very well. Part of the delight of this piece was the element of silliness throughout. Whales and boats, lightning out of a clear blue sky, duck-chewing baby... I added the water and sky in the first round and the multicolored bubbles in the second (being careful not to obscure any of the existing works.) I figured they would add a bit of whimsy and color. I was delighted to see the nice colorful frame at the end too! Good work all.

Beautiful work from everyone, I especially liked the water surface with vortex around the duck and the whale tail. In the second round the pearls changed the look of the image, nice effect. I added the girl on the duck.this was taken from some pony riding photo, I had to paint a little, and to cover up some things, I added the cap on the duck

Hi guys, good work everyone! I always like to see how those pictures evolve from a real common simple pic to the funny end results. I especially liked the strand of pearls. I would never have thought to put that there. It works though. But I also liked the little child with the ducky, funny hat ...... everything really I put the whale and the sailboat in first time and the frame the second time. gina

svsg, You know, the girl riding on the duck's back was just so natural that I never gave it a second thought but that and the silly hat was the foundation of the whole piece. Those were great choices for the first addition. Cheers! Welles

I really like the final whimsical image! Kudos to all the players and bonus points for sharing what you did! I thought everyone kept the theme going extraordinarily well, and with each player it just got stronger and stronger. It's amazing how much you can change a simple object into a wonderful scene. This should give you some ideas of what you can do on you own as well. Well done! ~T Last edited by T Paul; 09-17-2003 at 12:57 PM.
